I am thankful for the lil' Blue Wave across the USA this month, particularly Yes on 50 California, & Mayor-elect ZM in NYC. These victories are a beacon of hope for the whole USA & the earth, demonstrating that we collectively hate Trump & his bigoted BS has gotta go.

Hello rock'n'rollers. 

The April 26, 2025 gig was a hoot. Thanx to Mitch from Circle Of Ruin & Tequila MockingBar. 

It was great to get back in the (interview)saddle with my pal & Illinois rocker Jake Joyce at StubUrban. We chat about Cheap Trick & the Blues Brothers here.

Remedy Feelin’Back to the City CD

REMEDY FEELIN” is reminiscent of the HICKOIDS with the VINDICTIVES’ singer singing. This has a very particular boot-stomping honky-tonk twang to it. From “Gas Station Blues” to “Fast Fast Woman,” REMEDY FEELIN’ lets you know exactly who they are. I did a little digging and found out they are from the Bay Area, so I wonder if they will be playing 924 Gilman any time soon. Keep a lookout. I wonder if they roll their own cigs and chew tobacco. I want to be clear; I bet this is a lot of fun live. There was a great band in Michigan doing this style around the late ’80s through early ’90s called GOOBER & THE PEAS, so if you are into this type of thing, please look them up, too.

R.F. is my 6th group, & this is perhaps the most personal song I've ever written in my life. Themes mentioned: past lover's abortions, being judged negatively for getting my vasectomy, & being a Not-Parent. I wrote the lyrics in March 2022, watching Tennessee take away Reproductive Freedoms, & then, to everyone-with-a-brain's horror, the entire USA sadly did the same thing, a few short months later. Which is anti-freedom, anti-American, & ...a buncha bullshit. It is musically inspired by outlaw country & the Stones - Far Away Eyes.
